This how-to video shows how to refuse DNS requests from one of your servers network cards. By default, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 will answer requests on all its network cards. However, if one of those network cards is attached to the internet (or an intranet) that you don’t want to receive DNS requests (nslookup), you can deny requests specifically from that card. This tutorial works on Windows Server 2003 as well. It becomes such second nature to install DNS with Active Directory, we rarely think about it anymore. This video is to explain what some of the settings do.
