ISO to CD /DVD: the first thing that you usually do for Linux is download an ISO file which must be converted into a CD or DVD. However most people don’t know how to do that.
Commands: Linux often comes with a GUI (Graphical User Interface) but at it’s heart it is still a command line operating system. There are common commands that everyone should know. These commands work on a desktop or server operating system. While there are many different versions of Linux, these commands are pretty standard to all of them.

Software: various software videos that use Linux software. I like to use Linux with Windows so don’t be surprised to see it here.
IPCop: Designed to be a network appliance, IPCop is a Linux distribution based on Smoothwall, another Linux distribution. Here, I install it on Virtual PC 2007, Microsoft’s virtualization product. (Some people would call that needlessly complex. I call that fun.) I typically use it for my gateway device for my virtual machines. IPCop has the ability to act as a gateway, DHCP router, Proxy Server, Network monitor, and many other functions.
Ubuntu: Ubuntu is another Linux distribution that has become quite popular since it was introduced in 2004. Originally based on Debian, it has strayed quite a bit from Debian. It has features of it’s own that it does not share with Debian. Ubuntu has become big enough that even Dell has sold computers with it pre-installed. These videos are specific to Ubuntu.
